hardy? mum Goldcrest

Question
I bought several mum pots but they're not identified as hardy. They are the 'Goldcrest' variety. Please tell me if these are hardy. I am in zone 7a. Thanks!

Answer
Courtney,
Yes I am pretty sure if they are cushion mums in this part of the US they will mostly all survive. But most come back in different clusters, not shaped like you bought them.I usually just let em go,cause it's a lost cause to train them.Just pull a few clusters at a time out and transplant them to different areas of the garden. It's a little on the wild side but if you like cottage gardens, you will like the look.Good luck, and have a great fall season!
