Miltassia C.M. Fitch Izumi AM/AOS

Question
Greetings, I have just received an orchid that looks like it came with the name of Miltassia C.M. Fitch 'Izumi' AM/AOS, I have no Idea what that means, because I have no knowledge in this category of plants, but any growing info on this plant would be helpful.

Thanks
-Dave

Answer
Miltassia denotes that this is a hybrid made from the genera Miltonia and Brassia.  The Miltonia used is a Brazilian Miltonia.  Both parents come from very warm, humid, and fairly high light environoments such as might be found in the amazon basin.  So, I recommend that you provide lots of light and warmth (80 degrees) and humidity would be helpful. Air movement with a small fan also might be helpful. The plant should be grown in bright enough light so the leaves will be a yellowish green.
