Unknown Orchid Growth

Question
I have a White Phalaenopsis Orchid that I have enjoyed since my husband gave it to me over a year ago.  I usually don't have any luck with plants but by some miracle this one is still living and has gone through 4 flowering cycles.  The latest thing and the reason for my writing is there has recently appeared 4 or 5 finger like growths coming out of the 'soil' and hugging the edge of the pot and kind of curling around the lip.  I'm not sure it they are roots that need to be covered and a sign that I should repot the plant or new individual plants starting up.  I think they are a call to action but I'm not sure what to do.

Answer
Hello Rosalie,

I am not sure what is creeping up the side of the pot but suspect they may be roots.  If they have a small green tip followed by a grey to greyish-white round thing, it is a root that is in growth mode.  Also, the phalaenopsis is probably growing a new leaf along with roots.

Keep up the good work, you've done very well.
