Houseplant type

Question
It's an indoor plant.  It was potted in a small pot, and I have it in a 3" deep round pot now.  It's getting non-direct sun.

Thank you.

Question -
I bought a small plant from a Walmart.  It didn't have anything to tell me what kind it is or any other information on it.  It has a fairly dark green 2" leaf with pink spots.  It has just started producing these small purple flowers along the "vine like" stems of the plant.  The leaves go all along the stems.  It seems like a vine of some sort.  Any guesses as to what this is called?  It seems to need to be kept moist.

Thanks for any help you can give.
Answer -
Hi Coleen
Is this suppose to be an indoor plant or an outdoor plant?  I have an idea of what it might be but it depends on which one of these it is.
Thanks!
Leslie

Answer
Hi Colleen,
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you-it has been a very busy week.
Anywho, I believe what you have is called a "Pink Splash" or a "Polka Dot Plant".  I have one myself.  They usually come in 3" pots and get flowers.  They can be used either indoors or outdoors in a bedding garden.  They like a lot of light in order to keep their colors.  They also take a lot of water.  In a 3" pot, I water every couple of days.  In fact, I have mine in the window of my bathroom shower.  After I finish my shower, I hold the plant under the shower head for a few seconds until water is running out of the bottom.

Hope this was of help to you.
Good Luck Colleen!
