Pontail Palm Disease

Question
I have a white, cobweb or cottony substance on my ponytail palm.  Do you know what it is and how to get rid of it?

thanks,
JP

Answer
JP,

Your plant has insects, not a disease. I need a little clarification before I can answer you. Do you have fine spider webs covering the plant?  Or do you have what looks like little white tufts of cotton here and there on the plant?  They are 2 different insects and you treat them quite differently.

Also, how old is your plant?
How large is the pot it is in (diameter)?
Is it near a window and what direction does that window face?
What zone do you live in? Or what state if you don't know the zone?
How often do you water this plant?

Let me know and I will give you my best advice.
Merry
Christmas!

Darlene
