Peace Lily Question

Question
The one side of the plant doesn't recover from the droopiness even after watering.  It was getting mostly indirect light but I did notice some more direct light at some times of the day so it has been relocated to the bathroom area.  The leaves on the droopy side remain green but look as though they are going to break off.
Thank you so much for your help in this matter.
Diane

-----Question-----
My daughter has a large peace lily which was transplanted last year.  The plant is not doing very well right now and about 1/2 of the plant is drooping down while the other side stays upright.  The soil is moist to the touch and the plant is watered when it begins to droop.
-----Answer-----
Hi Diane,

I am confused by your description. Is half of the plant permanently drooping and not recovering even after the plant is watered?

Is the soil moist even after the plant starts to droop?

What size pot was it in before the repotting and what size is it in now?

Please describe the light that it receives.

If you can email a photo to me at [email protected], that would help a lot.

I apologize for all the questions, but I want to give you an accurate answer.

Regards,
Will Creed

Answer
Hi Diane,

Not having a photo to view makes it more difficult to assess your problem. There is not much you can do about the drooping portion of the plant. Focus on the healthy portion.

Bright indirect light is best. I hope it gets enough through the bathroom window.

Observe the plant very carefully each day and water it when the healthy portion starts to droop just a bit, regardless of how long that takes. Proper light and proper watering is all that you can control. Repotting, fertilizing and anything else is not appropriate.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.

If this information has been helpful, please take the time to give me a rating and nomination.
