I have heard that regular (not diet) lemon lime soda will "feed" cut flowers and was wondering if it is beneficial to house plants?

Hi Jean,
   Absolutely NOT! You should never give your houseplants anything but water (preferably distilled water) and well balanced fertilizer specifically made to fertilize plants. The only other thing that would be beneficial to houseplants is giving them a bit of 'compost tea' in late spring.

I have heard of people giving plants everything from coffee to liquor. At best some of these things will do nothing but most often these things will harm or kill the plant.
