Foxtail palm trees

Question
What is the best way to protect foxtail palms during frost periods?  I live in Las Vegas NV, where temperatures range from 20's in winters and can be over 110 in summers.  My 3 foxtails (20 gallon size) are planted inbetween houses on a slope and get 6-7 hours of direct sun, shielded from afternoon sun after 3pm.

I just adore these palms, give them 8 gallons of water daily.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Dora, they froze here on the beach in FL and we do not get frost usually on the beach.  You would have to wrap the trunk and if the crown is hurt pull out all the dead fronds, leave the green ones and add hydrogen peroxide daily till the fungus is gone or use Atomic Grow for fungal and healing organically.  kathy
