decorating a grapevine wreath

Question
Can you please give me some suggestions on how to decorate a grapevine wreath using fruit. I had picked up some items at our local A.C. Moore craft store. I bought grapes, strawberries, blueberries. I was planning on adding a bow, but I know this would not be enough. Can you please offer any suggestions Thank you.

Answer
Dear Denise,

Thank you for your question.
Have you got a hot glue gun? as this is by far the best way of attaching your fruits on the wreath frame. If not, then use a strong florists wire and wire each fruit individually and poke the wire through the vine stems and tuck in at the back.

Some people begin by wrapping loosely some patterned ribbon around the wreath, taking care not to cover up too much of the vine. Little bundles of reindeer moss interspersed looks really nice and maybe a little artifical ivy strands which you can twist around.

I'd be inclined to just stick with the fruit/moss/ivy/
ribbon and not add any flowers as it would become too fussy. Keep it looking loose, natural with your grapes hanging down as they would on the vine, with little clumps of strawberries and blueberries. I'm sure it will look delightful.

Most of all enjoy making it.............
