hanging arrangements

Question
Hello! I am going to do my own flowers for my spring wedding. I am Indian and will be married under a canopy and I wanted to create cascading or teardrop arrangements to hang half way up each of the four posts (where the hanging material gathers - like curtains).
Would I need to use a hanging cage? How should I best secure the cage to prevent the curtains from being pulled to the floor?
Thank you so much, in advance!

Answer
Neelum - Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!  Before I answer this question, I need to understand a little more on what you are envisioning.  The material is gathered midway on the pole and that is where you would like to attach the floral arrangement?  If that is so - what is atop the pole?  If you can email me at [email protected] and possibly send me a picture of the canopy, I'd better able to advise you on securing the arrangement.  I've found that every canopy, tent, and covered pole has different posibilities of securing attachments.  A Hanging cage is one option that may be used - another is Oasis spheres ( balls ).  Once I have a clearer vision, I'll go over your options.  Also, what flowers will you be using?  That needs to be determined because of total weight involved.  Look forward to hearing from you.

Warmest Regards,

Janine S. McMahon
