Floral Arrangement in Phoenix Heat

Question
Hello,

I came home from work today to see a UPS note on my door that they attempted delivery of a package from 1-800-FLOWERS but since I wasn't home they brought it to my apartment complex office.  Since I work longer hours than the complex office is open, I won't be able to pick them up until Friday afternoon (it is 6:45pm on Wednesday right now).  I don't want them to die, so I'm considering asking the apartment office staff to place them in front of my door right before they go home tomorrow around 6:00pm.  I won't be home until 7:00 or 7:30.  Considering that I live in Phoenix and the temperature could reach 100 degrees tomorrow, do you think the flowers will die or wilt outside of my door?  Since it is a UPS delivery, I wonder if they're in a box, so perhaps they'd be okay...  Which option is more likely to preserve the arrangement?

I know this is a strange question, but someone was kind enough to send me flowers and I don't want them to die in a box in the office or outside in the heat!  Your advice would be appreciated. :)

Answer
I am not familiar with the flowers they deliver
whether they are in water or not. i would ask for
a re-delivery and make plans to be home. ups will
send the flowers back if you don't respond, call
your flower store and tell them when to deliver.
Tell your friend its best to use a real flower shop
that offers better flowers. thanks and good luck.
