arrangement

Question
I would like to make an arrangement using 3 flowers, some greenery and a small vase. The vase is about 6 inches tall and
3 1/2 inches wide at the widest point. How tall should the arrangement be, measure from the top of the tallest flower to the bottom of the vase? Thanks Jo

Answer
Dear Jo,

As a general rule of thumb, in a tall linear arrangement the height of the tallest flowers should be approximately 1 1/2 times the height of the container.  This gives the design the balance and structure that's so important in that type of design.

Best,
Gina
