Growing Humulus (Hops)

Hops are best known for use in flavoring beer and ale. It is an attractive, fast-growing vine that makes an excellent screen to cover a large area for the summer. Provide support for your plants, such as a post, trellis, fence, or arbor.

Light/Watering: Grow in full sun and water regularly. Mulch plants to keep evenly moist.

Soil: Moist but well-drained soil, rich in organic matter.

End of Season Care: Vines can be cut back to the ground at the end of the season.
